ARS4078I The ARCHIVET instance has already been started
ARS4018I Creating the DB2 ARCHIVET database
ARS4062I Database created with territory 'US', code page '1208', code set 'UTF-8' and collating sequence ''
ARS4068I Updating the ARCHIVET database configuration
ARS4070E Unable to update the ARCHIVET database configuration.  SQLCODE = -1597
arsdb:   ARS4019E Unable to create the DB2 ARCHIVET database

I would appreciate much if you can share us any idea on how to make the product works.

Use the DB2 package that came with CMOD, not the Express-C version.

Thanks for your reply.

I want the IBM CMOD to be on windows flatform but they gave us IBM DB2 for Linux on the package CD so that is why i downloaded the Express C version which didn't work.

if you can please tell me what version of DB2 that would work best for CMOD 9 that would be great.

Again thanks JD.

Hello Kit,

Normally you should download the software from the IBM Passport Advantage portal.
There you will find version for Windows/Linux/AIX/Solaris/HP.

In the CMOD Bundle, you will also find the correct version of DB2 for each platform, TSM, ICN, WAS, ...

If you have a CD, then this is strange, because you should have more than one CD for the installation!! the whole bundle will take a few DVD.

In any case, even if you have the correct DB2 (DB2 Entreprise Server), you will need to have the license key, and this one is found in the IBM Passport Advantage portal.

Sincerely yours,
Alessandro Perucchi
