Title: Explaining the recent CMOD levels from IBM, 8.5.0.9 and 9.0.0.4
Post by: Ed_Arnold on May 06, 2014, 02:38:49 PM
8.5.0.9 which came out April 19 is a server-only release.

9.0.0.4, which came out about the same time, is a Windows Client only release.  There is no server level 9.0.0.4 ... that number will be skipped.

ODWEK was not updated in 9.0.0.4.

Does this mean there will no longer be an 8.5.0.x client?  I don't think there's been a new one since 8.5.0.6.

Never say never but I wouldn't look for any new client levels at the 8.5.x.x level.

Per this chart:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21392275 (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21392275)

...the 9.0 user clients are good back to 8.4.1, and the 9.0 admin client remains good for 8.5.

As far as I can tell, there's just no need to put out a newer 8.5 client, either admin or user.
