Title: CMOD 9.0 installation on AIX with DB2 10.1 on Remote Server
Post by: mayank141 on June 02, 2014, 02:58:42 PM
Hi All,

I would like to install new CMOD 9.0 setup in AIX 6.1 server but with shared remote DB2 10.1. Please let me know how it is possible or any documentation is available for that.

I belive DB2 database is controlled by CMOD.

Thanks
Mayank

Is there a reason you're going for a remote database config?  Given that the instructions aren't provided in the documentation (because it's not generally a good idea for performance or reliability reasons) it might be best to stick with following the documentation, and consider migrating the database after you get some experience running it in a supported configuration.

If you still want to go down this road, you'll have to work with your DBAs to figure this out, since they're likely already supporting other servers in this client-server database architecture.
