Hi All,
Recently we have migrated our OnDemand application v 8.5.0.6 to different data center and also migrated OnDemand application from DB2 to Oracle 11g.
Issue: when i check arslog.log file i see only 88 message are getting recorded apart from that no other message are getting loaded to log file. Below are our server details
OS: RHEL 6.x
OD: 8.5.0.6
DB : Oracle 11g
Kindly suggest.
Regards,
Raj
arslog is a shell script. It's probably only written to record that message number. You can customize arslog to do whatever you'd like. Just remember that it will be called each and every time an Application Group message is generated.

Thank you JD,
But we are using same shell script which was working before we migrate to other data center. Everything is same even the permissions and owners nothing got changed. Now we only get 88 message, but we need to have other message to get loaded based on that we have our statistics calculation.
Attached txt file contains arslog shell script which calls arslog_log.ksh script to load the messages.
Kindly suggest.
I don't see an attachment to your message. Care to try again?

apolgoies JD, Please find the attachment.
Can you send a screen shot of the Message Logging tab in the Application Group definition inside the Admin Client?
-JD.
please find the attachment
So, you're barely logging anything at all, but yes, you should probably be seeing retreivals in the arslog output.
Inside the admin client, right click on the server name, choose System Parameters from the pop-up menu, and post an image of that window.
-JD.
Hi JD,
Please find the attached screenshots.
Thanks for the screen shots.
See, that's weird, because you have logging enabled for the User Exit, but not for the System Log -- it should be doing what you asked for.
I'd open a PMR and ask why it's behaving that way. You can try checking the box for System Parameters -> System Logging -> Application Group, but be aware that there are implications for storage and performance.
-JD.
thank you JD, i will be waiting for your reply on the post.
to avoid the Storage & Performance i unchecked the option what you suggested.

Rajesh,
what Justin wanted to say, you need to open a PMR to ask why. Justin will not do it, since he has not access to your system, and he will need to ask you every 2 seconds for informations...
so in order to bypass the middle man (sorry Justin :-D) and have a more direct answer, please check with IBM and open a PMR.
