Post by: rajesh on November 28, 2016, 02:21:51 PM
Hi All,

Can any one help me with the process steps to upgrade CMOD from v 8.5.0.6 to 9.5.0. I have the upgrade link below but which doesn't show how to update the Database in Oracle which is in shared.

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21432774

Environment Details
OS : Linux 6.x - Virtual machine
CMOD: 8.5.0.6
DB: Oracle 11g - Shared database
Using Arscache for data storing

Thanks in advance.

Upgrades are usually complex, especially if you have a non-standard configuration -- and it sounds like you have a shared Oracle database that may not be located on the CMOD server -- two things that will make it more complex, because it's not really a configuration that IBM recommends, even though it's supported.

You'll need to assemble your team and find out who on your team can help you with the Oracle upgrade component, and if that person is you, then you need to read the documentation and practice the upgrades in your other regions (Dev, Test, UAT, QA, and Prod) so that you can give us the details we need (What did you try, what happened, and how did it differ from your expectations, what were the error messages, etc.) so that we can better help you.
