Title: arsload not logging to console anymore after upgrade to 8.4 (AIX)
Post by: Michel de Kraker on March 30, 2009, 11:51:40 AM
Hi all

This weekend we upgraded our CMOD 8.3 environment to version 8.4.0 (Fixpack 3) on AIX.
Prior to this update , any load failure was also redirected to the conslog (var/adm/ras/conslog)

But now , after the upgrade , not any more.

Anyone a idea?

Thx.

Michel de Kraker.

might not be related, but our 84 msgs stopped after upgrading to CMOD 7.1.2.10 (MP ver 8.3) on z/OS.

Hey Michael, Geoff...

I can't say I've actually noticed this new behavior in the past, but you should be able to emulate the writing of specific messages to a file by enabling and possibly customizing arslog.

Thx for the suggestions.

Problem was in AIX. alog logfile was not correctly created after upgrading.

Kind regards,
