Title: OD/WEK installation media, Linux
Post by: dkodk on October 07, 2024, 06:43:10 AM
At my company we cancelled our Content Manager S&S to terminate by end of 2023. We were expecting to be able to download Content Manager OnDemand media from Passport for another 12 months.
However, at some point IBM seems to have changed the terms resulting in termination of Passport access to the media from the date of S&S termination.

We now find ourselfes in a bit of a jam because we need to migrate out AIX installation of OD/WEK to Linux because we are sunsetting AIX entirely.

We have our entitlement for continous use of Content Manager OnDemand, but no way of downloading the Linux version that was available on the date of termination, december 31st, 2023.

According to IBM, we can pay a 7-figured $-amount to reinstate S&S for 3 years and get access to Passport, because they no longer create media-kits that previously could be purchased seperately.

The second option they gave, was to go through an IBM Business Partner, but the IBM Business does not seem to know why that should make any difference.

The third option they gave, was that we could get it from anyone that has the entitlement as well as passport access.

The latter one, is why I am posting in here with these two questions:

1) Would anyone provide me with the Linux media download (with version Release 10.5.0.5) for Content Manager (which includes the OD/WEK)?

or 2) Does anyone have any idea about which SKU is the cheapest that also gives access to Content Manager through Passport downloads.

I really do hope someone can help.

Regards,
Dani

There are direct links to the patches on FixCentral on the wiki:  https://cmod.wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page#IBM_CMOD_Fixpacks_.26_Security_Bulletins

This won't let you do a fresh install as you'll need the base-level filesets to install CMOD.

It is the base-level filesets I need for Linux.

As mentioned we have the entitlement to use Content Manager OnDemand, but lack the ability to download the needed filesets.

My hope is that someone in here can help us with the 10.5.0.5 version which is the version of our AIX installation.
