Hi Everyone,
Looking for some help and recommendation from the group.
We are replacing our Production CMOD server running on Windows server 2016, CMOD 10.1.3 to new hardware. Our current ARCHIVE DB resides on E: drive which the Storage is configured as follows:
E:\arscache1
E:\Drive F\arscache1
E:\arscache2
E:\Drive G\arscache3
The arscache folders contains older objects that might had been imported to TSM server. Planning of copying all folders to E: drive on the new server.
The new Server will be configured as Windows Server 2022, and SQL 2022. We will be installing the latest CMOD 10.5 with the latest fixpack. Here is the proposed drive configuration:
C: OS
D: SQLBin
G: DATA/CMOD ARCHIVE DB 4.6 TB
E: Arscache Storage folders
Proposed plan once we have installed CMOD is to either do SQL to SQL copy of ARCHIVE DB to the new Server, or use full backup and restore.
Asking the group if the proposed drive mappings will be an issues with ARCHIVE DB from E: Drive to G: Drive?
Additionally, also wanted to find out from the group recommendation from people who may had done similar migration what method was used to transfer ARCHIVE DB to the new server?
Thank you..
