Title: How are temporary filenames contructed in the client when viewing reports
Post by: lrfurtado on March 30, 2012, 01:11:18 PM
Heys Guys,

We are having a issue with the OnDemand Client 8.4. From time to time when trying to open documents on a given AG the OnDemand Client is dying. It seems the ondemand client is trying to write a temp file with a very long file name on

C:\Documents and Settings\someUser\Application Data\IBM\OnDemand32\DATA.

For some ag's the filename seems to be contructed based on AG fields and for  others the filename seems not be related fields at al.

so the question is what's the criteria used to contruct those file names.

Thanks.

Thanks.

What type of data are you retrieving? (AFP, IBMLINE)
Have you considered using the Large Object Support if the document is too large?

Hello Luciano,

look if the folder field information option "View Title" is used in the "problematic" folder where you have these problems.
If that is the case, then you might try to remove some of these in some "big big" fields, if that can help in your problem.

Sincerely yours,
Alessandro
