Title: CMOD Monitor
Post by: rstockton on October 31, 2012, 02:42:58 PM
At the IOD it was mentioned that there was a older version of a monitor for CMOD.  Does anyone know where to find the download for this?  I have done searches but have not come up with anything.

Thanks,

Russell

I think you mean the free 'ECM Dashboard', which is a 'light' version of the ECM System Monitor tool.  It's only available with OnDemand Version 9.

I'm not sure there's an 'old' monitoring tool out there.

Just out of curiousity, any screen shots of this monitor in action?

Speaking of monitor....during ODUG, when I expressed interest to Greg F re: System Log MSG_TEXT being split to reflect pertinent data for MSG_NUM 87, he mentioned
"System Load Monitor".  I think what he was talking about was ARSRPT which came out in 8.5.  We've not used it yet but will :)  Perhaps this is what OP is looking for...

Hello ASH942,

Well I think that Freg was speaking about the new "System Load" Folder (and of course Application Group).

You need to create it with the command

arssyscr -I <instance> -a

And each time you'll load a document, it will add an entry in this System Load, in a very nice format.

There are at my knownledge no "System Load" Monitor except this new feature.

Sincerely yours,
Alessandro

In terms of "Monitoring" we have shell scripts setup in cron that monitor for the application, and give us a yell when theres a potential resources issue.
