it works in IE but users are unable to save PDFs using EDGE or Chrome browsers. It only allows to save HTML documents. We can right click download as, but that's not always convenient.

Anyone found the setting to allow Adobe to remain the viewer and maintain all the controls of the Adobe viewer?

CMOD for z/OS Server / system performance monitoring
August 10, 2020, 11:36:06 PM
There's no out of the box IBM/Unicom tool to provide a monitoring solution. I know of one other product on the market that does this, but how do you monitor for performance issues, or don't you?

We're primarily a Z shop where CMOD is concerned but we have a fair amount of web traffic both internal and external. I'd be happy to get eyes on all of it at once, but any of it would be nice.

Thanks
Geoff

We upgraded from 9.5.0.2 to 9.5.0.6 a few weeks ago. Upgrade itself went smoothly, but this past week one of our ARSSOCKD tasks took an S878 abend and took DB2 with it. We also had several load tasks that wouldn't load data due to "out of memory" issues. We recycled the load tasks and that got us back up and running, for the time being. We initiated an SR with IBM on the 878 issue, and they believe it to be related to SSL connections. We're still helping troubleshoot, but we're contemplating reverting to 9.5.0.2. We tested the reversal to the old code, and had no issues going back a level.

We do about 5 million SSL connections a month on one of our interfaces, which we don't get remotely close to in our test environments. Stay tuned

CMOD for z/OS Server / arsdoc hold_add in batch?
November 05, 2015, 04:35:57 PM
I've got it working without using admparm, but has anyone used admparm for the parm file?  OR... does the parm file have to reside in HFS?

So I created a proc, and I'm using arsparm to induce the parms, rather than inline. I can't get it to take any parms; it just gives me back the arsmaint syntax and parms help screen.

Anyone successfully done this?  What am I doing wrong?  jcl cut from the joblog

We had to move the hosting of our site from one account to another, and in the process made sure we were on the latest version of our software. That's all done, and you'll likely notice a difference right off the bat.

Please---- If you notice anything that does not work correctly, let one of the forum admins know!  that would be Benny Ormson, Geoff Wilde, or Justin Derrick

Has anyone used either of these 2 formats?  what successes, or failures, did you have?  Any considerations we need to make with loading, CPU, etc?

ODWEK, Java and REST APIs / short docid?
April 03, 2014, 04:06:19 PM
We're using an older release of odwek that supported a short docid, in that none of the search results came back except the cmod DOCID information. That function is no longer available, so we're searching for an alternative. Anyone done anything to eliminate that information?  We're also looking at it from a compliance perspective to not transmit information across the line
