We are seeing a difference in timestamps in the arsseg table between the START_DATE and the POST_DATE on System Log table. Our system is getting used heavily and we do see a drop in CMOD performance related to query return and get document during the interval between START DATE and POST DATE. We have seen similar delay in the previous SL creations also apart from SL2 and SL3. The STOP DATE on SL6 is 03/12/13 10:08:44.

System Log table SL7
START DATE - 03/12/13 10:08:44
POST DATE - 03/12/13 10:09:21

There seems to be a difference of around 37 seconds. Is this common?

Any suggestions/pointers on what may be going on?

Simply sounds like you've got some slowness relating to your database.

You didn't mention which platform / database combo you're running.  What versions are you on?
