Changing Maximum Rows in IBM CMOD App Group

If I change the number of Maximum Rows specified in a App Group will it change the current table that is being used, or does it apply to the next table created?

I believe it's the next table (the 'max_rows' field is probably already populated with the prior value).  In some combinations of (old, buggy) versions of the CMOD client/server, you were allowed to make the change in the client, but it wouldn't actually take effect on the server.
