Hi All,

Has anyone experience with Sharepoint in combination with archiving documents to Ondemand?
I know there is a content collector for sharepoint.

Kind regards,

Michel de Kraker.

I'm not super-familiar with WebDAV, except that it's used for sharing things like Calendars and Contacts lists in a lot of apps.  Do you want to use it to upload documents for archiving, or to serve documents from inside CMOD via WebDEV to custom clients?  I'm pretty sure this doesn't exist as a product today.  What's your use case?

Hello Michel,

the IBM ECM portfolio includes a module for SharePoint archiving called "Content Collector for SharePoint". It allows moving documents from SharePoint into FileNet P8 or Content Manager v8 (but not into OnDemand). Would that be an option in your environment?

Alternatively, there is a German partner that has built connectors for Domino and file system for automatic archiving into OnDemand. They might be able to provide you with a custom solution for SharePoint based on these assets. Let me know if you wish to get in touch with them.

BTW, it would make sense to think through the actual archive scenario in more detail. For example:
- in which part of SharePoint are the documents located? (doc libraries? wiki? ...)
- are there multiple versions of the same document? which version(s) should be archived?
- how should users access archived documents? (link in SharePoint? only from the OnDemand client?)
- what should trigger the archiving of a SharePoint document? (age, a certain attribute)

Last, but not least: are you aware that the latest Content Navigator release ships with SharePoint web parts that allow you to search and retrieve documents from OnDemand?
