Issues with load and unload for the same LOADID, at the same time.

Hi, everyone!!!

I hope all you are well.

A customer performed a unload process at the same time that a load process, for the same LOADID. Result? All objects were deleted.

Is it possible to recover something or was everything really deleted?

Best regards,

Lair Martins

I'm surprised that was permitted by IBM CM OnDemand's arsadmin unload command.

My guess would be that everything has been deleted, and the customer must re-send the file to CMOD's arsload utility.

I can see on the system log:

The load was started at 1:21 PM and completed at 1:47 PM (message 87). And unload was started at 1:39Pm and completed at 1:51 PM (messages: 84 and 85)

So, the customer dont have the files...

Someone would have to have been WATCHING the load happening in order to have the load ID before it was written to the logs.

Why would you even try to delete a file that was still in the process of loading?  You don't drive away from the gas station while the gas is still being pumped into your car!  :D

So, long story short, ask the customer to resend the file.  If the file can't be re-sent or re-created, then it is lost.

 :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Its make sense this analogy with car and gas station...  :) :) :) :) :)

The LOADID exist on table ARSLOADWORK before be stored on table ARSLOAD. Maybe the operator got the LOADID on ARSLOADWORK and used to perform the unload...

Thanks!!!
