Hi,
I have added a new Field in Application Group.
And I want to delete the Field.

Is it possible?
The remove option is disabled in the Field Definitions ! Is it becuse there are documents loaded after the field was added ?

Your database engine likely doesn't support deleting a field.  In all honestly, even if they did, I don't think that's something that's supported.

Also, the 'Off Topic - General' forum is meant for things that aren't CMOD related.  You haven't mentioned which platform you're on -- but if you do, I'll move your post to a more appropriate group.

Thanks.

How I do that -

right click app group - update, add an x or a .old at the end of the name - click ok -
right click app group - copy, remove the x or .old, remove the field
create application / folder mappings

Yeah, but this means you have to move the data from the old AG to the new AG if this is a production system.

Assuming maybe your business partners aren't sending that field anymore?

Default it at the application level, and unmap the folder field, another option..

Hi JD,
Thanks for the reply.
The platform is Linux.

@jsquizz -  'Default it at the application level, and unmap the folder field, another option..' - I have already done this. And it gets difficult when I need to export Application from one environment to other. (other environment doesn't have this field in AG)
And I have to create the Application manually in other environments, and add a defaut value for this field.

And regarding creating a copy of Application Group - @JD was right. There is lot of data in the Application Group and I don't wish to migrate the data.

Sounds like ARSXML is your friend for this :)
