TSM Upgrade

One of my clients is on TSM 5.5 and they want to upgrade to TSM 7.1. Are there any considerations that I should look into. This is my first time doing a TSM upgrade. Do I need to goto TSM 6.4.3 or can I go directly to TSM 7.1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
