Integrating retrieved Documents into a reprint process

Greetings;
We have been requested to integrate a stored AFP document(a Check) into a reprint process.  The original check and all of its associated document pages is to be paired with a new reprint request through a mainframe executed job .  Has anyone put together a similar process?  Is this something that possibly ODF can be utilized to do?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
