While the announcement says "support for 64-bit storage" that does not mean that any of the limits on individual document size have been lifted.  There's still the 2 gigabyte limit which many people have encountered.

What it does mean is that virtual storage constraints have been lifted.  For example, hopefully we won't see those abend S878's anymore.

Hi,
I'm currently handling an interesting business opportunity in Italy to replace RSD EOS with IBM CMOD 10.1 on z/OS.
I'm aware that CMOD 10.1 support z/OS v. 2.2, unfortunately this operating system release is quite new and our client runs only the v. 2.1.
Is there any technical issues or supported problems to run the CMOD 10.1 on z/OS 2.1 ?
Regards.

OAM is the reason that V10.1 requires z/OS 2.2.  CMOD V10.1 requires the 64 bit support added in z/OS 2.2 OAM.

Note that otherwise, V10.1 is completely untested on z/OS 2.1 or earlier.  Nobody has even tried to bring it up as far as I know.
