Open Documents in ICN and Results

Interesting issue here:  Log into ICN Viewer and open an excel spreadsheet.  View the document and exit.   Open a PDF doc and exit.  An error message appears, "Internet Explorer has stopped working", Close the program, then the big X "Internet Explorer has closed this webpage to help protect your computer".  Any ideas would be most appreciated as always!
