Upgrading CMoD 9.0.0.3 to 10.1.0

I'm moving our CMOD 9.0.0.3 & ICCSAP 3.0.0.212 to a new virtual server (OS 2016, SQL Server 2016) and plan on upgrading at the same time.

In all of the documentation I've read, I haven't got a clear picture of the upgrade process.

What I've read so for is indicating all I need to do is:
1) Install the CMoD 10.1 on the new server
2) Install the ICCSAP 4.0 on the new server
3) Copy the source (SQL Sever 2008 R2) Database to the new server (SQL Server 2016) and attach
4) Run SQL Server commands from the readme file

Is it really that easy or what am I missing? I'm getting lost in the IBM support pages as I research.

Any help would be appreciated, even if you can point me in the correct direction.

Hi Ken

Please look into this:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg21432774

Gives you the exact steps to take.

I am also in the middle of upgrading icecap from 2.2 to 4.0. That is installing the new 4.0 code and then change the variables to point to the 4.0 installation. But that is on AIX , I do not know how this works on windows.

Good luck!

Michel.

Thanks Michel

That's exactly where I am. It just seems like it would be to easy. But of course before one starts, it all looks that way.
