Is there a new version 10.5 PDF Indexer or will the version 10.1 still apply?  If so, is that software part of CMOD or a separate software now.  Thanks in advance for helping!!

You need to talk to your IBM Client Rep or the IBM Business Partner who sold you the CMOD PDF Indexer to find out the state of your licensing.

However, the PDF Indexer is still available with CMOD v10.5, and as far as I'm aware, there have been no changes to the licensing, except if you move to Content Manager OnDemand on IBM Cloud.

Thanks for the quick answer.  One more question if I may.  Does the CMOD 10.1 version of PDF Indexer work with CMOD Core version 10.5?

Justin Derrick

It's always best to keep the CMOD indexer and the Content Manager OnDemand Server version at the same levels.

It may work, but you probably won't get any support from IBM if you run into a problem.

To expand on what Justin said:

Mixing levels of PDF Indexer and Content Manager OnDemand Server is definitely not tested and you definitely won't get any help from support if you have problems.

I tried this for a POC.

It probably wont install through the installer, it will yell about version differences.

I sure appreciate all the comments on this topic.  I'm no novice at CMOD but always like to ask questions to be sure.  I've always seen a nice challenge in obtaining IBM software, so I will admit that I am having difficulty locating the PDF Indexer 10.5 version.  I downloaded a Tar file but it looks a bit old.  Any help with a filename, etc., would be most appreciated.  We have definitely paid for the license...just an fyi.

--Yes it is late on this post relevancy, but folks may have not gone to CMOD 10.5 yet. ---
I believe if folks are still looking for the PDF indexer for Windows or AIX. Download the tar file.
If it is windows, the untar can be done via 7zip tool (7z.exe x <tar file).
Once extracted, it looks as the attached screen shot.
