arsdate within batch program

is it possible to execute arsdate or its equivilent from within a batch program? I am creating my own delete routines and the only stubbling block is the internal date format.

yes it can be done...

if you are using C program, use system function to call it

If you are using dos script, it can be called from the location of arsdate (eg: C:\Program Files\IBM\OnDemand for WinNT\bin\arsdate.exe)

If you are using unix scripting, it can be invoed in /usr/lpp/ars/bin
